Julie - Registered Dental Hygienist
Julie has returned to her New
England roots as our registered dental hygienist. She
was born and raised in northern Vermont but since
marrying her husband, a United States Air Force officer,
twenty one years ago she has practiced her profession as
a certified dental assistant and dental hygienist in
several states and two foreign countries during the past
eighteen years. In addition to her bachelor’s degree in
dental hygiene she has held teaching positions at the
college level in these dental areas.
Julie is happy to be back closer to
her New England family and caring for her family of four
students: husband is attending the Naval War College;
oldest daughter a freshman at Virginia Tech (Go Hokies
! ); younger daughter and son attend schools in
Portsmouth and two stay at home dogs. When she finds a
spare moment she enjoys reading, sewing, martial arts
and being a girl scout leader.

by achieving dental wellness through her efforts and

Janet - Care Nurse/Dental Assistant
We have recently been graced with Janet's presence as
Dr. Jones' Care Nurse/ Dental Assistant. Her welcoming,
congenial attitude and all encompassing sense of humor
can not only melt ice but dental anxiety as well. Her
professionalism equals her other assets. We feel very
fortunate that she and her family decided to move back
to R.I. after having resided in Washington State where
Janet received her Dental Associates Certification.
She is the loving mother of two daughters, a talented
photographer (SMILE!), enjoys crafts and loves walking
her Corgis, Oliver and Opal. |

Judy - Patient Coordinator
Judy has been in the dental field for many years. Her
finance, marketing and operations background position her
well for her set of responsibilities. Introducing new
patients to the practice, assisting current and new patients
with treatment plans and financial arrangements and
consolidating staff/patient recommendations are the visible
areas of Judy's job. Her keen attention to myriad
details coupled with her pragmatic, caring approach to
health maintenance serve our patients and practice
commendably.

Martha - Front Office Manager
Having had a varied and interesting career prior to joining Island Dental
Health, Martha adds a terrific, experienced personality to our team. She
graduated from New England Institute of Technology with a degree in
architectural engineering. But because of her compassion for animals she
spent seventeen years in the field of veterinary medicine. During this time,
she has achieved expertise in business management and public relations. She has
transitioned well into the field of human dentistry and as the office manager
and concierge, is your introduction to our practice. Originally from Canada,
Martha moved to Aquidneck Island in 1967. She has been here ever since.
She married husband Howie and together raised three children; Meredith,
Matthew and Krista and numerous pets as well. “I am fortunate to be a part of
this great team at Island Dental Health; to offer experience, to go above and
beyond and fulfill the needs of our patients; to me, is paramount.”
